Dear Editor,
I have noticed three comments were made on my letter “University of Guyana Lacks Good Governance” on the Kaieteur News Online dated on September 1, 2011, two of which I must say were ridiculous.
One writer indicated that 75 percent of the Council members at UG are from the PPP. I believe this online writer has incorrect information, in that there are a substantial number of members from different political aisles. The other writer stated that I know little about the University of Guyana and its functions. I do have the right to speak and as a former student of the University of Guyana, I do know well about the history of UG and of my country.
So far, I am the only person who talks about the university’s ills and its effects on students. What are these so called commentators doing about it? I suppose they enjoy anything, but good.
I do my research before I present my information to the public and as a matter of fact I do not comment on people’ s writing like they did, I make a formal reply through letters to prove I stand up for my convictions. Joseph Adams
