Event and Community Training Programme to be launched today
Neal & Massy and Hand in Hand Trust Schools Rugby Schools Tournament
The Guyana Rugby Football Union will launch the Neal & Massy Schools Rugby Tournament and the Hand in Hand Community Youth Rugby Training Programme at the National Park Rugby Ground today from 11:30am.
The Neal & Massy Schools Rugby Tournament will be held on Saturday September 24 at the National Park Rugby Ground featuring age grade tag rugby competition, between the ages of 14 to 16 for boys and open ages for girls, featuring 11 schools and a youth development team. Kick-off is at 9:00am.
The Community Youth Rugby Training Programme embraces a combination of youths from Georgetown communities and from Diamond, Grove, Timehri and Kuru Kuru and schools in these areas.
The Schools Competition and Community Programme will be conducted by two Boost Coaches, Joe Sandiford and Katie Wallis, from Loughborough University, UK, and the GRFU’s Youth Development Officers, Theo Henry, Troy Yhip and Latif Lasimba and Sabola Gray and Coordinated by Troy Yhip.
The Media are cordially invited to attend the launching of the Schools Tournament and Community Training Programme when sponsorship cheques will be presented by representatives of Neal & Massy and Hand in Hand Trust Corporation.
