Armed bandits abandoned a car mere minutes after they had taken it from its rightful owner during a brazen morning robbery yesterday.
The car was recovered at Sussex and Callender Streets, Albouystown, less than a mile from where the actual robbery took place.
Police in a press statement said that there was a robbery which occurred around 08:40 hours at Saffon and Sussex Streets, Charlestown, during which Andrew David, was attacked and robbed by three men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
According to the police, David was driving his car PJJ 8837 along Sussex Street, and on stopping at Saffon Street he was confronted by the perpetrators on two motor cycles who held him at gunpoint and took $300,000.
They ordered David from the car and one of them drove it away leaving their traumatized victim on the roadway.
