Kares Engineering/Bushy Park Sawmills T10 Tapeball Cricket Competition
By Edison Jefford
The nationwide Kares Engineering/Bushy Park Ten/10 cricket tournament is the biggest tapeball contest to ever hit Guyana. The event has made history with its magnitude and now the rivalry is down to the Final Four stage.
Kaieteur Sport introduces the first of the four teams that will compete for a chance to play for the $1M first place prize when the semi-final and final of the competition are held this Sunday at the Guyana National Stadium at Providence.
The Pitbulls, a side that resembles the 2011 Hits and Jams T20 Masters Cup runner-ups, has all the cricketing attitudes of the species of dog that carries a similar name; they seem to be name and nature: brutally fierce and uncaring of opposition.
The Pitbulls are threatening to tear apart any team in their path with raw power-hitting when they bat and clinical bowling. On paper, they are a very strong unit. It took them just four overs to get to the Final Four last weekend in their quarterfinal game.
