Dear Editor,
I have observed the claims forwarded by Kaieteur News columnist, Freddie Kissoon’s legal team which is headed by AFC Presidential Candidate Khemraj Ramjattan. I found their claim that only Guyanese of Indian ancestry have been appointed to high offices in Guyana very disturbing and insulting.
As a Guyanese of Indian ancestry appointed by the President to a senior position in a Government agency, this accusation has caused me great distress given that my appointment is being attributed to my ethnicity.
After having studied and qualified myself in my field it is disheartening for anyone to disregard all the effort, time and sacrifice I have put in towards making myself eligible and just dismiss it as being part of some perceived racist practice by the government.
