Dear Editor,
Mr. Ramjattan of the AFC has often remarked at community meetings of the AFC that the PPPC has not done enough for Indo-Guyanese.
Is it not a double standard for him to now support an opposition claim that the PPP/C Government has appointed too many Indians to high positions in the Government? The sheer number of Afro-Guyanese appointed to high office by the Government of Guyana ought to dispel any doubts about the PPPC Government being racist in appointing Indo-Guyanese to high offices.
Many of those appointments to high offices held by Afro-Guyanese are of a nature that a racist government, bent on systematic discrimination of Afro-Guyanese would be stupid and illogical to make. Sharon Mc Donald
