Adrian Sharma dominates BMX section
The eight Seven Seas 11 Race Cycle Programme, which is part of Hassan Mohamed’s Teach Them Young Coaching Camp, saw several seniors, juniors and female riders pedaling their way to glory in the National Park yesterday morning as the races attracted forty-two starters with Mark Lewis in 1h: 16m: 41.91s winning the feature 35-lap event, while Adrian Sharma dominating the BMX open and 12-14 category.

Lewis won ahead of Junior Niles, Marlon Williams, Raymond Newton, Robin Persaud and John Charles in the School Boys and Invitational 35-lap race. Of the Prime Prizes on offer: Niles claimed 7 and Lear Nunes 1.
In the other races: Hazina Barrett was first in the female’s 12-14 open race category beating Naomi Singh and Marica Dick, who finished second and third respectively. Junior Niles proved that he was the best in the Veterans U-50, as he out pedaled the participants in his class. Kennard Lovell was second and Virgil Jones, third.
In the Veterans O-50, Lancelot Rose, Wilfred Thom and Omar McDougal were proven to be the top three riders as Maurice Fagundes crossed the line before, Neville Atwell and Harry Lall to capture the Veterans O-60 category. Delius Richardson was the champ for the Juvenile category ahead of Shaquille Agard and Hector Edwards III. Mario King was the ‘king’ for the Uprights as Jamal Arthur was the BMX 6-9 victor. Adrian Sharma took the top podium for the BMX Open and 12-14. Christopher Griffith came second in the former event ahead of Deeraj Garbarran as Ricardo Sharma and Cleveland King were second and third respectively, in the latter race.
Geddes Grant/Seven Seas representative, Products Specialist, Ms. Karen Connell was on hand to assist in the distribution of prizes after the event.
