-issues resolved tournament to continue as schedule
The Kares /Guyana Softball League T10 Tapeball Cricket Competition will resume its schedule after issues that were deemed to be critical to the continuation of the tournament has been resolved amicably and fans can now look forward to the communities exploding with more excitement as this weekend fixtures will determine some teams that will go through to qualify for the super sixteen round.
Some zone winners have already been determined and these will clash with each other in some zones to book a place in the super sixteen to play against some of the best players of tape ball in this country.

Essequibo Zone ‘K’ Winners, Pomeroon Oil Mills collect their trophy and cash incentive from a representative of Kares Engineering.
Even though some areas were awash in the rains others were fortunate to have some matches played.
In Linden, Classic Cricket Club emerged as the top male open team by defeating West Watooka Cricket Club by 10 runs in the final in a low scoring affair.
After posting 70-9 in 10 overs Classic CC then restricted West Watooka to 60-9.
Leonard Caleb was the man responsible for limiting the West Watooka Side after taking 3-4 from 2 overs.
Also going through in the school male category are Tello Warriors and Multi Royal Challengers, while in the School Female, Money Dreamers took top spot and in the Female category, All Star United and All Star Conquerors have emerged as the leading teams.
On the West Coast Demerara, Invaders XI, Big Life and Wolf Warriors will battle for the top two spots along with Naamryk Rangers Spartans, and Xtreme XI.
West Bank Demerara has Amazon Conquerors, Progressive, Black King and the sensational Storm XI, who have shown good form.
In Georgetown, rain curtailed the matches and only Brushie XI and Transporters have been able to advance to the next round.
In the Lower East Coast zone, Better Hope and Miracle Opticle are on course for a clash as the matches conclude with the winners this weekend.
In Essequibo, Pomeroon zone winner Pomeroon Oil Mills has been dominant and will now clash with North Essequibo winner Cotton Field Wild Oats to determine the Super Sixteen qualifier. Bartica has determined their winner in Kent Cricket Club, who defeated Rising Stars in the super over after both teams ended on 78-8 in 10 overs.
Kent prevailed in the super over after scoring 8 runs and then limited the opposition to 4 runs in the most thrilling match for the weekend.
On the distaff side, Karabo Power Rangers were crowned champions after defeating Young Warriors in the final by 3 runs in another thriller.
Kartabo notched up 100-2 in 10 overs and limited the opposition to 97- all out in 9.3 overs.
In South Essequibo, Rising Stars XI were victorious after defeating Die Hard Bros by 9 wkts with Norman Fredericks clobbering 43 not out (4×6;2×4) and Roopan Sankar grabbing 4-7 in 2 overs, both outstanding performances for the winners.
In Berbice, the star studded Albion Community Centre team which includes Narsingh Deonarine, Jonathon Foo, Ramnarine Chattergoon, Suienarine Chattergoon and Veerasammy Permaul , Rangal Lachagadu easily defeated all and sundry to emerge zone winners and move on to the next stage in their quest to qualify for the super sixteen. They defeated Chesney Superstars by 92 runs. Ramnarine Chattergoon scored 40 out of 149-6 and limiting Chesney to 57 all out. Jonathan Foo was dismissed for 2 runs. Roopnarine Lallbeharry was the star with the ball taking 4-11 from 2 overs for the winners. On the West Coast of Berbice Hopetown was the biggest winner defeating Very Important XI by 10 runs. Quacy Mentore scored 40 runs for the winners. In Zone O, Memorex will battle with Six o’clock Warriors and Edinburgh for the top spot to determine who will challenge West Coast Berbice winner for a spot in the Super Sixteen.
Meanwhile, the Guyana Softball League would like to assure the participants and their fans alike that everything has been resolved and they should support the games as there are something for everyone at the grounds.
