Marlon Mars, who allegedly committed robbery with aggravation, was yesterday remanded to prison.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
Mars appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court where he was told that the police are alleging that on July 14 at Ketley Street, Charlestown, he robbed Nicolas Seenarine of one Motorola cellular phone, one silver chain and one silver ring worth $22,000.
The Prosecution requested that the accused be denied bail.
The application was granted and Mars is expected to make his next court appearance on July 25.
