Inefficiency can be convenient
Dear Editor,
With fingerprint scanners and iris recognition now commonplace and low cost, why is it so difficult to verify the identity of a citizen casting a vote at election time? Many companies and governments are now using this low cost solution in a variety of applications very successfully.
Perhaps it is that the government of Guyana does not want to be efficient for fear that too much would be exposed!
