GGDMA elects Executive Committee
The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA), the local body representing small, medium and large scale miners, on Thursday, last, elected members to its Executive Committee of management who will lead the Association over the next two years.
The management team comprises: Patrick Harding – President, Patrick Pereira – Vice President, Terrence Adams – Secretary, Charles Da Silva – Organizing Secretary, Azeem Baksh – Treasurer, Alfro Alphonso- Immediate Past President, and Committee Members – Chunilall Babolall, Dabria Marcus, Mahendra Persaud and Andron Alphonso.
Longstanding member Stanislaus “Chungee” Jardine, who has been a member of the Association for over 28 years and served on the executive – including the position of president, declined nominations to all positions on the management committee.
