Miner killed in Port Kaituma ATV crash
A prominent miner in the Port Kaituma district lost his life yesterday when the All-Terrain Vehicle he was riding turned turtle near the Arakaka junction, causing him to sustain massive injuries to various parts of his body.
Dead is Lallbachan Narayan, who hails from the East Coast of Demerara.
Kaieteur News understands that Narayan was coming out from a mining area when he lost control of the ATV. News of the accident was reported to the police who went to the scene and recovered Narayan’s licenced firearm.
The body is at the Port Kaituma mortuary awaiting a post mortem examination.
