Berbice selects squad as U-19 Inter-county cricket championships get underway
Cricketers from the ancient county of Berbice will don whites from this morning when officials in that county stage the one day U-19 Inter-county cricket tournament at the National Stadium, Providence starting from 10:00hrs.
In today’s encounter Cell Link Berbice will tackle Essequibo followed by another game on Wednesday where Demerara will oppose Cell Link Berbice.
The 14 man squad selected to represent Berbice are Shawn Pereira, Kandrasammy Surujnarine, Veerapen Premaul, Jamally Ogle, Eugene LaFleur, Linden Austin, Sasenarine Earnest, Vidal Crandon, Clinton Pestano, Lloydell Lewis, Guadkesh Motie, Dominique Rickki, Waquar Hassin, Sharmindra Hardial and Julian Cambridge. Former national cricketer, Hubern Evans has been tasked with coaching duties.
