Dear Editor,
When Adolph Hitler sent his forces to rain fire and brimstone over Europe I was some time away from coming into this world, so I was brought up to believe that Hitler was a man of evil intent and it was felt that there will be no more of Hitler’s kind.
Well, I grew up to learn of so many others matching Hitler and in some cases outdoing him. In the case of Vietnam, the White House occupants sent their forces to rain down every kind of bomb on the Vietnamese, then the occupants of the White House and 10 Downing Street turned Iraq, the most progressive Arab country at the time, into a pulverised nation.
Today, as I watch television and see what the White House and 10 Downing Street occupants are doing to Afghanistan, Pakistan and Libya, and what Israeli leaders do to the Palestinians, I am convinced, unlike the cheese in “The farmer in the Dell,” that Hitler does not stand alone.
He is in fine company. W.P. George
