A man who nearly had his left arm severed almost two months ago after he was found on a plot of land occupied by a farmer, was on Friday sentenced to 18 months in jail by Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo when he appeared before her at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s court and pleaded guilty to the charged of break and enter and larceny.
The man, Ray Anthony, called ‘Rambo’, 25, of no fixed placed of abode pleaded guilty to the charge that on Thursday March 31, at Angoy’s Avenue he broke and entered the dwelling house of Razeena Bacchus and stole one Gold bangle, one gold band and one gold earring belonging to Bacchus.
Anthony, who was described as a regular and as a known felon was severely chopped on his left arm on March 4, last by 70-year-old Milton Payne after he was found on a plot of land Payne occupied on a government reserve at Vryman’s Erven/Smythfield.
