Floodlights donate $130,000 to Guywid
Guyana Woman in Development was the latest beneficiary of $130,000 cash donation from the Floodlight softball team of Georgetown.
Last Sunday at Cumberland Cricket Ground, Canje, one softball match and two hardball matches were held, where some of the country most popular softball and hardball stars were involved. Sewnarine Chattergoon, Jonathan Foo, Narsingh Deonarine, Ricky Deonarain, Anil Beharry, Assad Fudadin, Mike Singh, Gajanand Singh, Richard Persaud, Richard Ramdeen, Wayne Jones, Ramesh Sunich among others all took part to raise funds for Guywid.

Memorex was the winner of the softball match, while Rose Hall led by Guyana captain Assad Fudadin, earlier knocked out the powerful Albion, and eventually defeated home team Young Warriors to be the winner in the final.
