Police hosts mini athletic meet for Easter
The Guyana Police Force will be holding a mini athletics meet today, commencing at 09:00 hours at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary.
Athletics teams from all Divisions and Branches of the Force will be competing in a number of events for prizes and cash incentives.
Invitational races featuring several top local athletes are also carded for the day’s event.
And in keeping with the Easter holiday spirit and community outreach, members of the public will also be entertained with several novelty events such as late for work, lime and spoon, three-legged and needle and thread races which are included in the programme.
Admission to the ground is free and there will be a fun park for children.
