Dear Editor,
A writer calling himself Lancelot Hughes claims that ACDA’s Leader Tacuma Ogunseye is guilty of incitement (Kaieteur News April 20, edition, under the caption, “Ogunseye is guilty of incitement”.)
The writer charges that the call by Mr. Ogunseye is not only illegal but immoral. He condemns such call as shameful and claims that such a stance is reflective of 19th century thinking and has no place in today’s society. Mr. Hughes is entitled to express his views on this matter publicly. I hope I am given same.
I was hoping that Lancelot Hughes would have added some objectivity to his letter by alluding to the present conditions that Africans are made to live under in 21st century Guyana that may have caused ACDA’s leader to trumpet the ‘riot act’.
Let me state without ambiguity that this call by an African organisation in Guyana is not without justification. My view!
