Hollywood, not Embassy
In the article Sunday last under the caption “Another Death Row inmate succumbs in jail” the Hotel Hollywood in Rose Hall Berbice was the hotel where Raymond Persaud, 68, called “Tarzan”, of Berbice and his brother Palo Rampersaud, murdered Bibi Zorina Alli, and where police found a body buried in a shallow grave.
Contrary to what was reported the murder scene was not the Embassy Hotel, in Rose Hall, Berbice, The duo was found guilty of murder and sentenced to death by Justice Claudette Singh on December 11, 1990.
