GCA congratulates Barnwell on WI call up
The Executives and Members of the Georgetown Cricket Association would like to congratulate Mr. Christopher Barnwell on his selection to the West Indies T20 Squad, named to oppose Pakistan in St. Lucia.
If selected, Barnwell will join an illustrious group that has represented a GCA member club and the West Indies. He will also be the first cricketer from the Demerara Cricket Club to represent the West Indies in a T20 International.
The Executives and members of the GCA hope that Mr. Barnwell regards his selection as the beginning of that long journey that will lead to an illustrious career in International Cricket, the GCA said in a release from its PRO Colin Alfred.
