Head of the Deeds Registry, Carolyn Paul, retired yesterday even as some officials hinted that she was sacked.
Paul, 53, has held the position for well over five years. Kaieteur News was told that Paul spent her last day at work yesterday.
Further, sources at the office said that she came early yesterday morning to hand over the keys, to one Ms Ferdinand. Efforts to contact Mrs. Paul yesterday afternoon proved futile. This newspaper was also unable to get an official comment from the Deeds Registry.
