AAG Development Meet on in Linden today
– athletes to gauge preparations
Guyana’s leading junior and senior athletes will go on show today at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) Ground when the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) host its second Developmental Meet before a hectic 2011 Season commence this weekend.
The junior athletes, especially, will have a perfect opportunity today to gauge their preparations ahead of this weekend’s youth and junior trials. The AAG will be selecting the junior CARIFTA Games team following the upcoming youth and junior trials. Winston Caesar, 100m and Long Jump rising star, is one of the talented juniors who will be on show today gauging his preparedness.
The development meet would be a welcome prospect for the athletes from the Upper Demerara track and field clubs.
The meet is expected to have the participation from athletes and clubs from across Guyana since it is the last occasion before the Season starts.
