Dear Editor:
Why is the Executive Committee of the PPP meeting on state property and using state resources? Before 1992, the PPP condemned the actions of the PNC with their Ministry of National Mobilisation and paramountcy of the party.
It is amazing that after 18 years in office; the PPP has forgotten its promise to the people of lean and clean Government.
As a matter of principle, Ralph Ramkarran and Clement Rohee have erred politically by submitting themselves to an Executive Committee meeting in the Office of the President rather than in Freedom House.
How can these people be President of the land and they condone the abuse of state resources in their Presidential bid? Hats off to Moses Nagamootoo, Navin Chandarpal and Komal Chand for not attending that meeting since it was a blatant abuse of power.
This story reminds me of Animal Farm, which is a book of high discussion in the AFC as we study the modus operandi of the PPP.
When Napoleon, the dictator, changed the fundamental principle of “no animal must drink alcohol” he inserted words to justify his needs. He made that statement into “no animal shall drink alcohol in excess”. Is the Jagdeo regime and the PPP any better than the dictator Napoleon in Animal Farm?
