Third Annual Cricket Review Magazine launched by BCB
The Third Annual Cricket review Magazine of the Berbice Cricket Board was launched on Saturday last at the St. Francis Annex Restaurant in Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, Berbice.

RHTY&SC Assistant Secretary/CEO Nermala Sewdat, who was also the Assistant Editor of the Magazine, stated that its objectives are to showcase the activities of the Board, inform sponsors about how their finances are used, to keep shareholders aware of the development in Berbice cricket and to promote transparency in the work of the Berbice Cricket Board.
The content of the magazine includes remarks from the President and Public Relations Officer, reports from the Special Events Committee, Secretary and the Competitions Committee. Several articles on the activities of the Berbice Cricket Board in 2010 are also included along with a pictorial review, profiles of three BCB Executives, and a thank you section recognizing the sponsors and an article on the promising Jonathan Foo.
Sewdat expressed gratitude to the sponsors of the magazine – Cellink, Republic Bank, Universal DVD, Guyana Cricket Board, A. Ally & Sons, Sterling Products, Goodwood Racing Service, Bissan Trading, P&P Insurance Brokers, NCN, Guyana Lottery Company and Demerara Bank.
Chairman of the Special Events Committee and Editor Hilbert Foster said the magazine is of a high quality and standard while complimenting the editorial committee for a job well done. Foster announced that the magazine would be distributed to all cricket boards and organisations in Guyana, sponsors, libraries, cricket clubs in Berbice, government officials and Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs).
The first copy of the magazine was handed over to BCB President Keith Foster by Sewdat. Copies were then handed out to GCB President Chetram Singh, Demerara Cricket Board President Bissoondyal Singh and Georgetown Cricket Association President Roger Harper.
The twenty-four (24) page magazine was printed at the F&H Printery in Georgetown at the cost of $320,000 and was produced by the Public Relations Department of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club (RHTY&SC) and the Special Events Committee (SEC) of the Board.
The editorial committee consisted of Ms. Sewdat, Keith Foster – Editor in Chief, Hilbert Foster – Editor and Research, Anil Beharry – Finance, Moonish Singh – Photos, Angela Haniff – Typing and Carl Moore – Proof Reading.
