Dear Editor,
I am the wife of Mr. Navin Chandarpal’s chauffeur, Claude Leong, who worked with the man from 1996 to 2009.
I was shocked and embarrassed when friends called me on Sunday January 23, last to ask me about a letter in the Chronicle Newspaper that I was supposed to have written.
They said that I wrote a letter that Mr. Navin Chandarpal nearly caused my marriage to break up because he used to have my husband out late at nights while he was going to rum shops. I just want to tell the whole world that I never wrote any letter about Mr. Chandarpal.
If the letter carries my name then the signature is a forgery; is a lie. My husband and I want to say that we have nothing to do with any letter. Some people want to use us to make trouble. Please, keep us out of your bad games.
Even after my husband stopped working for Mr. Chandarpal, I still have respect for him and his family. They are good people. They always treat us like people.
Why do they have some people so wicked as to want to use me to do they dirty work?
If they want to lie tell them not to use me name to do so.
