Dear Editor,
It is no secret that General Elections has loomed on the political horizon and will be held shortly. To this effect, a wide array of pretenders, have presented themselves to the public for consideration to be chosen as president.
I therefore feel compelled to reiterate what I have said in a previous memorandum to the local press, mainly, the crux of the problem is the enactment of an appropriate programme for the well being of all Guyanese.
The choice of a candidate for the presidency is of secondary importance and will depend on the ability and integrity of the candidate to enact the programme voted for by the masses.
This concept will be readily accepted by all persons of good will. A negation of this concept must be seen as an indictment rendering the person unsuitable for the position of presidency.
The people look forward to the programmes the contending candidates will present.
Confidence exists that Truth and Justice will eventually triumph, and an appropriate leader will emerge. If needs be a “Deus ex Machina” will appear.
