A suicide at Bartica
A Bartica family found the body of 13-year-old Avonna Ann Pestano dangling from a green polythene cord that was tied to protruding steel rods at a residence at 50 Sixth Avenue, Bartica.

The body was found some time around 18:25 hrs., on Monday.
Sources indicated that after hearing the loud wailing, people rushed over to the location to witness this tragic occurrence.
Avonna Pestano was clad in a pink , white laced top and a dark blue jeans type skirt.
Bystanders indicated that Avonna was observed earlier in the day in an unusually pensive mood .
The Bartica Police after conducting their initial investigations on the scene that unearthed a letter written by the deceased, transported the body to the Bartica Public Hospital.
This girl is the third member of the family to die by suicide.
