Dear Editor,
Jagdeo’s unwarranted attack on Navin Chandarpal further exposes the infantile behaviour of someone who is unsuitable to be the head of state of our country.
The Guyanese people fully understand the level of insanity coming from Jagdeo – who was offered a scholarship during the stewardship of Navin Chandarpal, – at the time a leading PPP activist, like myself.
Those of us who fought the tyrannic rule of the Burnham era have no apologies to make to Jagdeo and his clique who have betrayed the workers and peasant programme of the PPP and its government.
Navin Chandarpal stands tall among all descent PPP activists and revolutionaries in and outside the PPP.
We have full confidence – that Navin’s public exposure of Jagdeo’s undemocratic attitude is the first step in reclaiming the PPP and its fundamental values of equality, social justice and fair play for all Guyanese.
The dye is cast and there shall be no turning back. We shall mobilise in every corner of Guyana and internationally to redirect the workers and farmers’ movement in a struggle for a better Guyana.
We cannot allow any deviation or misrepresentation of the facts. Mike Rahaman
