The prime suspect who was arrested hours after a robbery murder at the Mars Gas station at 45 Stanleytown New Amsterdam, has been positively identified.
An alert policeman made the arrest hours after the suspect committed the daring murder robbery around 00:30 hrs on New Year’s morning.
He is believed to have shot and killed 28-year-old Seon Craig, and injured 42-year-old Wade McDonald before robbing businessman Michael Mars and his wife, Joan, of more than over $500,000.
An identification parade was conducted yesterday and the man was positively identified as the bandit who committed the act. The suspect was arrested in Angoy’s Avenue area. Police got word of his hideout and swooped down on him.
The man is a well known character who had served time for various offences before.
