RRT Enterprise Rapid Chess tournament fixed for Saturday
RRT Enterprise is the sponsor of a one day Rapid Chess tournament fixed for this Saturday, December 11, at the KEI-SHAR’S Sports Club, Camp and Hadfield Streets, Georgetown.
The tournament will be played according to the Swiss System format and consists of seven rounds with a time limit of 40 minutes per game. Registration starts at 10:00am and the first pawn will be pushed one hour later.The tournament is open to all chess players in both the senior and junior categories. Tournament fee for senior non-member is $800 and juniors $600, while members will pay $300 for seniors and $200 for juniors.
The tournament will be conducted by the Guyana Chess Federation. Interested players are asked to bring along their chess set or contact Irshad Mohamed on 664-1650 or Shiv Nandalall on 225-8270 during office hours for further details.
