Guyana’s Ambassador to Brazil, Harry Narine Nawbatt, is to take up a new posting in Canada, Government said yesterday.
The former Housing Minister will be assuming the post of the High Commissioner of Guyana to Canada, shortly.
The government said that Canadian authorities have agreed to have Nawbatt serve as Ambassador. Nawbatt will be succeeding Rajnarine Singh.
Ambassador Nawbatt was appointed Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil in November 2008. He is still serving in that position.
