NEW AMSTERDAM, BERBICE – More ganja was reportedly found in New Amsterdam on Saturday and an unemployed man, who gave police a Linden address, is now at the Central Police Station awaiting his moment in court today.
The facts, according to police in Division ‘B’ of the Guyana Police Force, are that three grams of what is said to be cannabis sativa was seized during that operation. According to reports, a patrol operating in New Amsterdam searched some characters at a house at Main and Coburg Street where a vigil was being held for a deceased person. The illicit drug was allegedly found stashed in the right side pants pocket of the 25-year old man. The bust was made just a short distance from the Central Police Station.
