The All-Star Weekend will intensify tonight after last night’s junior All-Star basketball game and senior dunk and three-point shootouts with the senior basketball game and junior three-point and dunk-out at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. The All-Star Weekend is in full swing with the AND 1 Street-ball Legends raring to go against the Wildfire National All-Star team tomorrow night in a serious game. The AND 1 crew are set to perform tonight after performing last night.
Yesterday, Wildfire Entertainment hosted a forum where they handed over the impressive jerseys that will be on the backs of the local All-Stars throughout this weekend. All systems are in place to host what is expected to be the best ever.
The AND 1 team has been performing and hosting clinics across Guyana, namely in New Amsterdam, Linden and Georgetown and will be on the new GT&T Basketball Court on the East Coast this afternoon for another one of their community drives.
Chief Executive Officer of Wildfire Entertainment, Jonathan Beepat told Kaieteur Sport yesterday that he anticipates an extremely entertaining weekend given the level of preparation that have gone into making the AND 1 Guyana Tour possible.
Beepat said that he was pleased that in the eight years of the event that it has grown from strength to strength.
“We will have lots of things in store for our fans like our crowd events where they can win money and that sort of thing,” Beepat noted.
Georgetown senior male All-Star team will be coming up against the Linden team for the feature event tonight. The Lindeners will be looking for revenge after losing to Georgetown last year and that makes the contest one to watch as Linden hunt resurgence.
