Wildfire extends deadline for team submissions
Wildfire Entertainment, which is the company behind the upcoming All-Star Weekend, has extended the deadline for team submissions from the Linden Amateur Basketball Association and the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association.
Speaking with the Coordinators yesterday, Kaieteur Sport was informed that the October 29 deadline has been extended to tomorrow to allow both sub-associations to submit their respective teams for the November 12-14 All-Star Weekend. This newspaper understands that the sub-associations requested more time to select their best teams. “They are saying that the teams are hard to pick because they have a lot of players that can be called All-Stars,” one of the Coordinators said.
The eight All-Star Weekend will feature Linden vs Georgetown junior and senior games on the first two nights along with shootouts and dunk competitions. It will climax on the final night when the AND 1 Street-ball Legends play Guyana’s All-Star team.
