A modern miracle
Dear Editor,
When it was discovered that all 33 Chilean miners were alive and well and that it would take till Christmas to bring them to safety, I told my friends at my favourite coffee shop, I was certain with modern technology the miners would be out long before Christmas. I had seen the end of October.
Well the rescuers performed a modern miracle with speed and great efficiency, never before in peace time was so many heroes and heroines in one place, the miners are all heroes, the rescue workers, the medical team, the families of the miners, the Chilean’ President and his wife, and all those who contributed to getting all 33 men out alive and reasonably healthy all are heroes
With news of death and destruction all over the world, the rescue of those miners is most refreshing for all who kept abreast with what was going on.
