Marlon ‘Fishy’ Williams and Tony Simon benefit
American Exchange Saloon & Beauty Supplies of Lot 13 Durban Street yesterday made donations to two of Guyana outstanding cyclists.
Marlon ‘Fishy’ Williams, one of four cyclists selected to represent Guyana at the XIX Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India from October 3-14 received a cash donation towards his trip while Tony Simon collected a pair of tires to assist him in his continued quest of being the best in Guyana.
Making the presentations were Manager Tomeika Gilkes who expressed her entities delight in supporting the two riders.
Gilkes pointed out that it is always a joy to represent one’s country and she was looking forward to Williams and his teammates doing Guyana proud in India and beyond.
“I know that you have been training hard and we wish you and the team every success in India.”
Both Simon and Williams expressed gratitude to Ms. Gilkes, Management and staff of American Exchange Saloon & Beauty Supplies for their assistance.
Williams noted that it is very hard and tiring to get sponsorship but was very pleased with the support of American Exchange Saloon & Beauty Supplies.
