Suspected arsonist still on the run
Gavin Douglas of Bagotville, West Bank Demerara, was still on the run yesterday, two days after he reportedly set fire to a dwelling house.
Douglas allegedly set fire to a house at 111 Miles Mahdia Potaro sometime after midnight on Monday.
Sources close to the investigation said that there is some difficulty in locating Douglas since there are many means of getting out of Mahdia and that he could have used any of them to head in any direction.
The incident reportedly stemmed from an argument he had with his fiancée Shondell Perry.
The house which was destroyed was occupied by Perry who lived in the upper flat, and Sharon Paul who lived in the lower flat with her reputed husband, Wilbert Scotland, and her son Jeremiah Paul.
