Our moral and social decline
The Editor,
Saturday, September 4th. Kaieteur News Editorial, ‘The social fabric spoke to the root cause of our moral and social decline.
It has quite rightly made a pitch for the rebuilding of our crumbling social institutions, the key institution, and it is an institution, is the family, men, women and children.
Every society tends to follow the example of its leader, for good or evil.
If marriage is indeed the foundation of the family, and therefore society, how do we rebuild when our top exemplars treat marriage with such disdain, disrespect and disregard.
If the top aim for these D’s, we can hardly achieve A’s. May the Good Lord help us.
All religions teach us that the vilest can be saved, but they (our leaders) must repent and come clean.
