The St. John Association of Guyana started a Week of Celebrations with a church service at St. George’s Cathedral. In attendance were Prime Minister Samuel Hinds, performing the duties of the President; Health Minister Dr Leslie Ramsammy; British High Commissioner Fraser Wheeler, who read the Second Lesson; Mayor Hamilton Green; and Chairman of St. John Association of Guyana – Mr. Vibert Parvatan.
Council members, trainers and volunteers, and members of the Disciplined Service and paramilitary groups were also there.
The Church Service was followed by a March Past and salute which was taken by Prime Minister Sam Hinds.
