National Ladies lose 2-1 to Barbados
Guyana national Ladies hockey team went down to a Barbados National and under-21 mixed team by a 2-1 margin last Friday evening in Bridgetown, Barbados.
The squad Coached by Philip Fernandes is using the engagement as practice for the upcoming CAC Championships in Puerto Rico.
Commenting on the game, Fernandes said that the team played far better than when they visited Trinidad and Tobago and he has seen admirable improvement since their previous tour.
“I think we had the better of the run, but let in two soft ones. Although the girls lost I was very pleased with the progress,” Fernandes mentioned.
The lone response for Guyana was scored by Kerensa Fernandes.
