Carpenter charged with Mon Repos murder
Forty-eight-year-old carpenter, Chanderband Indar of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, was yesterday charged with the murder of Ravindra Singh of Annandale, East Coast Demerara.
Indar was remanded to prison by Magistrate Judy Latchman when he appeared before her at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court to answer the capital charge.
Singh’s body was found at Indar’s home on May 31, last, where he had spent the night.
A post mortem examination later revealed that he had been strangled.
Indar, who was unrepresented by counsel yesterday, will return to court on June 18.
