BFA/Coca Cola knock-out finalists to be decided today
It will be an all out battle come this afternoon at the Blairmont Community Centre Ground when semi-final play in the 2010 Coca Cola sponsored Berbice Football Association division-one knock-out tournament takes place.
In the feature game of the double header from 16:00hrs, Cougars FC, featuring prolific striker Winston Benjamin backed up by Horace Roache and Stephon DeFlorimonte with Ryan Kellowan as custodian will put pride on the line when they go head to head with the confident Rosignol United whose attack will be spearheaded by the Fraser brothers, Delroy (Tugi) and Delwin (Jack), Olvis ‘Jim Reeves’ Mitchell with Roncy Caleb standing in goal.
There will be no room for mistakes by either side and fans can look forward to a high intensity clash.
The first semi-final from 14:00hrs brings together Two-Time League champs; West Coast Berbice based Monedderlust FC and New Amsterdam United.
Carrying the charge for Monedderlust are the inform Anthio Wallace and Gladwin Johnson while New Amsterdam’s bid for a place in the championship game will centre around Adrian ‘Garnett’ Adams, Kelvin Joseph and Colin Bowry.
The victorious teams this afternoon will advance to the final which will be played on Saturday under lights at the same venue. The third place game between the losers this afternoon will commence at 18:00hrs on Saturday.
