Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton refused to grant bail to a man who allegedly committed three armed robberies on the same day.
Randy Morris was not required to plead to three counts of armed robbery when he appeared before Magistrate Octive-Hamilton.
It was alleged that Morris, on March 2, armed with a hand gun, robbed Sheldon Cheddi of gold and diamond jewellery valuing $740,000.
Another charge stated that Morris, on the same day, robbed Tamica Persaud of one cell phone valuing $28,000.
The last charge stated that Morris robbed Dwayne London of one gold and diamond chain valuing $1.4M, one gold and diamond watch valuing $500,000, one gold and diamond ring valuing $200,000 and a cell phone.
He was unrepresented. Police Prosecutor Joel Ricknauth, opposed bail. The prosecutor said that Morris should be remanded.
That application was granted by the Magistrate. Morris is expected to make another court appearance on June 24.
