CANU scores in Annandale raid
A suspect is being handcuffed shortly before he was taken into custody.
Ranks from the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit CANU, yesterday swooped down on an Annandale, East Coast Demerara house where they arrested five persons including two women following the discovery of a quantity of narcotics.
The raid occurred shortly before midday yesterday.
While the ranks were tightlipped about their operation, this newspaper observed one of them with a bag containing what appeared to be both marijuana and cocaine.
From all appearances the suspects were very cooperative with the heavily armed CANU ranks.
