For the third time in less than two months the Guyana Police Force Narcotic Branch has intercepted mailbags containing cocaine.
Reports are that yet another interception was made at around 14:00 hours on Tuesday at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri.
This newspaper was told that ranks stationed at the airport were checking the mailbags when they found a quantity of cocaine. The bag was supposed to be shipped on a Liat flight, which was destined for London.
For last month alone there were two similar interceptions at the airport. However there was no arrest.
