Classic and Uprising recorded wins when competition in the Mackenzie Sports Club inaugural Ten10 knock-out cricket competition in observance of Linden Town Week 2010 bowled off recently.
Classic, batting first against Christianburg rattled up 100 for the loss of 6 wickets in their 9 of their 10 overs and in response Christianburg were bowled out for 69, Classic winning by 31 runs.
Bosai took first strike against Uprising and were restricted to 69-6, Uprising in reply eased to72-2 to win by a handsome 8 wickets.
The competition was slated to continue yesterday with a number of matches; West Watooka were slated to take on Coomacka, Old England against Bayrock, Amelia’s Ward v Genesis and Mackenzie Sports Club v LEI/Secretariat. The second round will be played on the May 5 with the finals and final will be played on May 8.
