Guyana First-Class all-rounder Deon Ferrier and former National under-19 player Kelon Carmichael have helped their Trinidadian club Aranguez to the knock-out stage of this year’s Carib T/20 League.
The Guyanese pair has also being doing well in the two-day competition and both were among the runs and wickets in their drawn game against the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) over the weekend in the Championship two-day League.
Aranguez won the toss and batted first; making 216 all out with Ferrier making 48.
Carmichael then took 3-45 with his medium pace and Ferrier 1-40 as the soldiers were bowled out for 215.
Ferrier, who plays for Malteenoes in Guyana, returned to hit 56 in the second innings as Aranguez made 289. Carmichael, who represented the GDF in Guyana, chipped in with 36 as the game ended in a draw with Aranguez taking first innings points. Aranguez will face-off with the Darren Ganga lead Comets team on Thursday in Super 16 knock-out stage of the National Carib T20 league
