Dear Editor,
U.S. President Barack Obama created history for having successfully piloted health care reform in the United States of America which would see some 32 million Americans, mainly from among the poor and the dispossessed benefiting from health care coverage.
This is a major victory for the working class. Little wonder it is receiving so much opposition from the upper strata of American society who would like to preserve the status quo.
President Obama has scored another first. Apart from being the first Black to become the President of the United States of American, he has now become the first American President to have provided universal health care to the American people, regardless of race, class, status or creed. Annie Rose
