Dear Editor,
It’s indeed a great eye-sore to see your front page photo (23-03-10), and it tells of the slow pace that work is being carried out around this country.
It would be recalled that over the past 35 years the Meten-Meer-Zorg School Bridge has reach a state of this condition. It is repaired and repaired and it only lasts for a few months and it’s like this again.
It’s time now that proper work should be done to that bridge for it is being used by nursery and primary school students, mothers taking their new babies to the health centre and citizens doing business with the NDC office which is just nearby.
It’s really an eye-sore to see in this day, with all the different talks about care for the children and the old.
Secondly, we as residents living in the Annandale/Buxton area along the Sideline Dam would like someone take pictures of the barriers still up along the street-end which should carry you over to the other village and publish it, so the relevant authorities can explain to the wider population why such a situation still exists. It’s a long time since criminal elements were flushed out of Buxton by the Joint Services.
