Seven win prizes at Guyana Stores
Yesterday, seven persons received prizes after winning Guyana Stores Xmas Promotion, which was held at their Water Street location.

The winners were Christina Mohan, of Cuyuni Street, who won a Sony Stereo System; Somatie Balgobin of La-Grange, West Bank Demerara, who won a Sharp 21-inch television; Satawattie Kotiah, of Annandale, East Coast Demerara, who won a Samsung Microwave; Radhica Narine of Lusignan, ECD, who won a Megavox DVD Player; Josoda Persaud of Herstelling, East Bank Demerara, who won a Proctor Silex Toaster Oven; Anjanee Bhagwandin of Foulis ECD, who won a Panorama Blender; and the lone male, James Thomas of Blairmont Estate, who won a three-piece suite.
According to a representative of Marketing and Advertising, Shalim Baksh, the shoppers automatically became eligible after purchasing $3,000 and more storewide. They were given a coupon to fill. These coupons were collected and randomly picked at a draw held recently.
One lucky winner, Somatie Balgobin, said that she is overjoyed at winning a television, since her present one was giving some problems.
She said that she would remain a loyal customer of Guyana Stores.
